Lynda E. Wilson, Ph.D., General Manager

Dr. Lynda Wilson has had an exemplary career in health care, academics and broadcast communications. She was Associate Professor of Communications/Journalism and Chairperson of the Department of Mass Communications at the St. Louis Community College, Florissant Valley Campus. She was also the General Manager of KCFV-FM Radio, the radio station of the St. Louis Community College District.

After receiving her Ph.D. from St. Louis University, Dr. Wilson returned to her native Little Rock where she joined the faculty at the University of Arkansas (UALR) as Professor of Communications and Department Chairperson of Radio, TV and Film. The creator of numerous television programs, she also worked as a host and producer at TV 29.

Additionally, Dr. Wilson is a graduate of the American University of Healing Arts as a massage therapist with an expertise in Oncology Massage. She is a licensed massage therapy instructor and currently teaches Ethics and Medical Charting. Dr. Wilson has done advanced studies in communication and post graduate work at Harvard University and has published more than 20 articles of major works on the subjects of health and communication research.

Dr. Wilson has been honored numerous times for her work in community service and received the Urban Mission Award from the University of Arkansas in recognition of her Outstanding Community Service in the Field of Media. In addition to her work at, Dr. Wilson has a private practice in Little Rock as a massage therapist specializing in oncology. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University in St. Louis, has been a professor at St. Louis University and is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
