Robert Rubright, M.A., Host/Producer- Breakfast, Lunch and Diner

A native of Kirkwood, Missouri, Robert is a cultural historian, writer, speaker and walker. He is the Chairman of the Board of the American Hiking Association in Washington, D.C., an 8,000 member organization that calls itself the national voice for America’s 75 million estimated hikers.

Robert is the author of two hiking books: Walk and Rambles in and Around St. Louis (1995, Backcountry publications) and Weekend Walks in St. Louis and Beyond (2002, Backcountry). He is the former host of Walks and Rambles Around St. Louis (an adaptation of his first book), on KETC-Channel 9, St. Louis’ local PBS television station.

A longtime marketing planning consultant to nonprofit organizations, Robert has authored books on healthcare marketing and physician relations with hospitals. He has also worked as a humorous after-dinner speaker, addressing audiences nationwide, particularly university and professional groups. Robert is currently authoring Breakfast, Lunch and Diner, a collection of unusual and overlooked breakfast and lunch establishments in St. Louis and Illinois which he’ll adapt as a radio program for Robert has a Masters Degree in Journalism and has been a lecturer on Creative Writing and Management at St. Louis, Washington and Webster Universities.
